These are very strange times for sure. Please rest assured that Deere Employees Credit Union is safe, sound and every department fully functional.
Remote service delivery is not new for our credit union. Our Pandemic Team has been preparing for the Pandemic event for many weeks now. They have been readying our systems and staff for the situation in which we now find ourselves.
Our staff is working remotely and keeping the credit union running with business as usual, other than closing public access to our lobbies and temporarily relocating our John Deere location Business Development Managers.
You can still contact us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week just as you always have. Our digital banking, both online and mobile, ATMs and networks remain running, as usual, so you always have access to cash and your account information.
Many businesses, our members and their families will be negatively affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic. If you find that your financial situation is unsure, please give us a call. We have many programs in place that are designed to get our members through difficult financial times:

In Support of Community Health, Deere Employees Credit Union Is Temporarily Suspending Lobby Service Until Further Notice.
As our communities mobilize for the well-being of our families and neighbors, we are temporarily adjusting our in-person services in support of community health and to ensure continuity of business for our members. All branches, including those onsite at Deere Facilities and our Main lobby in Moline, will temporarily suspend in-person service until further notice. We will continue to assess the situation throughout and communicate any adjustments to these dates.
Deere Employees Credit Union is committed to the health and safety of all our members and staff. We are proactively following developments in the spread of the novel coronavirus COVID-19, and our Pandemic Response Team is working on contingency plans to ensure continuous operations safely and effectively as the virus progresses.
Some of our members may understandably wish to limit public interactions as much as possible until this virus passes. DECU has some built-in conveniences already in place:
- 24/7 access with Digital Banking from any device
- Online banking for secure online transactions
- Online chat with live operators is available
- Convenient DECU ATM deposits and cash withdrawals
- Secure, email via Online Banking
There is no reason to visit one of the branches for everyday banking transactions. We are always available, 24/7/365 from any device. Please contact us at (800) 338-6739 if you need any assistance or have other questions.
DECU staff is still available to assist you remotely by phone, email or text. We simply are limiting face-to-face interactions to ensure continuity of business for our members. We have taken a number of precautionary measures including:
- All onsite Lunch & Learns are on hold at any Deere Facility.
- Extra cleaning and sanitizing. Our regular cleaning schedule has been ramped up.
- Supporting our employees. We are working to support the needs of our more than 130 employees.
- Account access – always. Our preparedness plan ensures the continuity of essential banking functions, and you will continue to have online access to your accounts in the event of a local outbreak.
- We will continue to monitor the situation as it develops and evaluate additional measures to support our members and community.
DECU warns members to be aware of fraudulent coronavirus financial scams that wish to steal your sensitive and personal account information.
Watch out for odd telephone caller IDs, emails, texts or websites that look like real companies and ask for critical information such as SSN, account numbers, login username and password info, credit or debit card numbers, PINs and so forth. Be smart. Be alert.
DECU will never request such information through email/text/outbound calls.
