About Deere Employees Credit Union.

In 1935 the Deere Employees Credit Union (DECU) opened its very first office in Moline, IL to serve the community of workers and their families at Deere & Company. We are an independent credit union wholly owned by our members and chartered under the laws of the State of Illinois.

Founded on the principles of commitment to our members, over the past 85 years DECU has grown to serve a global community of more than 60K people as an exclusive benefit for current and retired Deere & Company employees and their family members. Managing over $1B in assets and offering financial products and services to AROUND 40,000 members, DECU operates 24 branches located inside John Deere facilities in and around Waterloo, Dubuque, Quad Cities and Des Moines, Iowa, plus additional units throughout the United States.

Deere Employees Credit Union also welcomes the employees of Deere & Company contractors, wholly-owned subsidiaries and joint ventures, as well as the employees and families of John Deere Dealers.

Once we receive your application and review your documents, a Member Service Representative will call you to set up and customize your new account just the way you like it. Your initial $25 deposit ensures a lifetime membership with DECU, giving you access to the great benefits and services of Deere Employees Credit Union, no matter where you live, no matter where you work.

Credit unions are member-owned financial cooperatives: When you join Deere Employees Credit Union, your initial deposit to open a share account establishes your membership and makes you a part-owner. With no outside bank stockholders to satisfy, DECU hands over its excess profits to you with competitive loan rates, fewer service fees and our cash-back Owner Participation Account (OPA).
